Bob Watson's old car. Not sure where you would race it these days as a 2.4E doesn't really fit into any obvious series at the moment.

can you not bridge between the two with a bank loan? - ultimately you'll get your money from the thiefs that are insurance companies !

dive in and get it.

I think you are right. It would seem to be eligible for the HSCC 70’S ROAD SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP.

Hey leave it out young Disco!
Last time you 'bumped' this I got carried away and only just stopped my bid at the final confirmation screen when my brain kicked back in.
Where would I put it? When would I drive it? Why do I want it? How long would it take me to get the money together? I had no answers to any of these questions.
This time it is daylight and I am not tired and emotional so I have resisted ... so far.

Guess it depends how hard a life it has led and what you want to use it for...

Has anyone inspected it...it's condition would be key if you ask me...

It went for 13,200. Seems like a deal. Anybody on here?

Dirk.

i had Tuthills take a look at it on my behalf. they came back with a long list of remedial work. My max bid was £10,500.

To be made perfect I think it would be q expensive (needs new sills, sections of floor, various other areas of corrosion like doors+ B pillars+rear qtrs, lacks a complete interior etc and hard to believe many people want a yellow and blue car so thats £7k worth of colour change)

But the car is definitely a runner and has a T engine with S cams c. 180bhp been recently serviced, new fuel lines etc. , hence perhaps not bad value given plenty of "restored" cars advertised at £30k +

good luck to the winner...not many RHD 72's with oil filler flap around
