Hello Folks , I've been lurking on here for a while so finally decided to sign up in order to boost my Porsche activites up a notch or two . All my friends hate Porsches and keep telling me to sell up so i'm looking for some new mates , lol !!!!
I have a 1971 911E with RS bodybits and wheels etc etc with a tuned 3 litre engine etc fitted . It's a bit tatty close up but that means i can blast about and not worry about it too much which is nice . I've been thinking about getting the rust fixed for about 5 years now but i can't face the grief + the cost so haven't bothered . Plus it still looks great from over 5 feet away and everyone who walks past it says "that's in mint condition" even though it's bubbling up on every panel  .
Still it's nearly 40 years old , still going strong and makes the new 911's look shite !!!!!!
Stand by for pics , cheers Gary .

Well it's low enough and it goes pretty well too , i ran a 13.8sec 1/4 mile at Santa Pod even with the crappy gear linkage slowing me down . That's one thing i must fix before next summer .

My kinda car and driver as well! Welcome and hopefully we'll see the white of your eyes one day.

3 litre engine you say: care to elaborate: still running K-jet or ..., SC or C3 etc?

;)

Bert

Thanks chaps . The engine is a 1980 sc engine with the standard fuel injection . The engine has been modified many years ago but i don't know what's inside . It made 220bhp at Power Engineering with a standard exhaust so not too bad . Fancy swopping to PMO carbs or jenvey bodies one day but probably sort the exhaust system out first . I bought some nice manifolds for it but still need a rear box with twin inlet pipes to meet the manifolds . I have a few project cars on the go so i just keep the 911 working for now or else i'll take it too bits and it won't move for 5 years !!!!! .
