Glass for Durant Mirror

Post by 72911E »

Car passed its MOT today so one step closer to being UK registered.

On the way back, I lost the glass from the passenger side Durant Mirror.

Where can I get a replacement?

Thanks
Derek

Hi,

I just had a local glass firm cut a suitably sized mirror for me and then its a straightforward swap. Assuming you still have the plastic securing ring that is....

Cheers,

Sorry to crash the thread but how do you get the plastic ring out if the glass is still intact? The backing of my mirror has come away and i need to replace it. Any ideas??

Cheers :)

Hi,

Very carefully! You need to prise the ring out of the metal boxy of the mirror - I'm not sure there's a trick to it, just care & patience.

Cheers,
