Fire Extinguisher installation help

I am going to install a small Fire Extinguisher which has been rattling around on the floor forever.

I want to install it between the front seats, as this will be out of the way and easily accessable in case its needed. My car has got speedster seats so plenty of room.

How easy is it to install here, has anyone else done it, will it fowl any of the cabling?

don't know. i am having the same problem. i used to keep it in the passanger side footwell map pocket but since fitting new carpets it now will no longer fit there.

Yep I fitted it but cant remember how.

Don't think it was a big deal though.

Its held in place with big, short screws. Oh, don't drill in to the carpet....ummm thats about it.

Sorted.

Didnt want to drill into tunnel, so had an ali plate made up that utilizes the existing bolts for the seat rails, then the fire extinguisher simply screws onto that.

Very neat, no drilling of holes and you cant actually see the ali plate so job done.

With regard to buying fire extinguishers, what are the chances of the following... After many many years of old car ownership, my wife & I decided to buy an extinguisher for our 356 from Halfords yesterday. £30, and I thought, well, we'll never need it etc etc. 10 minutes later, we came across a blazing Landrover. Of course, I had to give them the extinguisher. It made very little difference, the fire was far too fierce. I didn't have the heart to ask for reimbursement - they were visiting from South Africa, and they seemed to have enough problems. I think it might be a sign. But what of?

When i Finally get my 356 on the road i have one of these to install into the engine bay. At least that way i have a fighting chance should the worst ever happen.

Not between the seats, but this is the bracket I made if its any help (now with retaining strap).
