Yorkie

Hello,
Having just embarked on a huge gamble of shipping a '63 356 from New York that I had only seen in pictures, its safe arrival into port proved to be an exciting day. It of course was love at first sight and driving behind the trailer grinning from ear to ear it was then the 356 was named Yorkie.
Once tucked up in a cosy garage and being a very agreeable host to copious amounts of tea and cake. I started the process of designing future plans and wish lists. I loved Yorkie as he was, he was already mildly outlawed and a bit of a pretty boy, but I had my heart set on creating something a little racier and old school.
The whole ethos of my plan is to create something that Porsche could've produced themselves back in the sixties and taking design clues from old Le Mans Porsche classics.
To this end, my next job was to start stripping! No, not to pay for the hefty restoration costs, but to start getting Yorkie ready for his next adventure - Bead Blasting.
Here are a few pictures of Yorkie's first day on UK soil.
Keep your eyes peeled on future posts from me, I will have endless lists of bits and bobs for sale, e.g. Engine, Steering wheel, gear box, and so on.

Claire

PS. There are no pictures at present, I had real trouble attaching images to this post, and the FAQ's are as useful as a chocolate tea pot! So, i'll figure out how to do it and post pics when I can.
