i got this cal import last year , for my 13 year old , now 14 as of the 19 , 5 , 10 , he swapped his westfalia wide bidied pickup for it , it needs a paint job , which we now have started to do as of this week , firstly , the interior , this has seen better days in usa , so i scourced one on ebay fully refurbished inn the right colour of light tan it was 2 seats 2 door cards and one fire wall for £350 on ebay delivered , this was his xmas box , then it got all new brakes calipers checked refitted as well as new track rod ends and brke light switch , also new handbrake cables from porsche and new handbrake assembles , a new button for starting the car turn the key push the button , igination switch was fecked , all electrics checked and repaired where needed , and a full servied , the battery tray was holed so i repalced this and when out i had access to do a repair to a hole in the bottom of the inner wing , where all the road dirt had gathered , now i have to do a repair to the ps sill , on sunday i pulle dthe 2 bonnet s off and handed the boy a da sander and said get going

we spent all day sanding and prepping the 2 panels , gave the panels a coat of eitch primer especially where we have broke through to metal , the hard top was stripped to the gel coat in the end , to make any kind of a job of it , now ready for 2 k primer , also doors have been taken of to make sure that plenty of paint get s to where it s need ed , colm and my dad

stripped the 2 doors on 914 , both outer weather stripps need replaced , so if any one has any the weather stripp and the chrome insert give me a bell , one door needed some light filling on the middle of the skinn , both needed the tops of the doors taken to bare metal and eitched primed , then 4 5 coats of 2k primer , flattened down and the two doors painted in silver base coat , now its the front and back spoiler panels and sill covers now to do owen nw
