Try and use a very low amp fuse when first wiring up ,also did u use a relay 4 the lights ? coz that takes the load, is it a standard indicator switch? is your dip on the switch as well ? have u tryed YOUTUBE for tips?I made my own loom & if I can help u I will, its also a good idea to fit a mega fuse to protect bat & wiring , blocking diodes are helpfull aswell .
