Sh1t me, if my car billowed like that on start up Id be calling Mike Bainbridge and bleating like a stepped on lamb.
That cannot be right.
I hope you were wearing breathing apparatus, there`s enough carcinogens in that garage to impress a Woodbine smoker.

Yes up at Mexboroughs place. Stuart who looks after the cars very kindly allowed a DDK'er to check out one or two details on the RSR
The 3.0 RS is nice too
Mike, the smoke isn't blue ..... good old dirty stuff , just needs to get warmed up & a good thrashing on-cam

You'll notice we also kept the caps on the exhaust

Thanks to Lord Mexborough and to Stuart who was very helpful in letting me go up at very short notice to check on a couple of detail bits I was working on.
Also thanks to hot66 in his new wheels for guiding me over the moors on the way in and out, so beautiful up there and great roads.
By the way James do post up the film of it cranking over for a bit and then finally firing up, that should sound amazing!
As for the smoke, not been started for a while so just clearing it's throat

here you go Mike ...... although the video doesn't really do the sound justice
ref the smoke .... this RSR is running an 'add-on' choke/ fuel enrichemnt device ..... the spec of the engine is full on race so it is not happy at tick over / low revs where it tends to foul the plugs etc . Also it was below freezing in the garage & all the doors were shut
BTW, this car has some superb race history incl finishing 8th at the Targa + many LeMans entries
