You can never tell from these type of pictures, and no interior pictures.

Immediately obvious is that the front wings are a different colour from the rest and the LH front wheel doesn't sit correctly in the wheelarch.

Having said all that if it is solid, the engine runs properly, it has all the gears, and the interior isn't wrecked then maybe it's worth £9K or so

I still struggle with £12k for a 'just about working' car when I consider mine to be worth £14k, and I'd like to think it's in better condition than that!

Gary I would value yours at more than £14k, unless that is you're looking to part with it, in which case yep £14k is fair, I'll be round later tonight to pick her up

I agree with the rest yours is definately worth at least £20K+, I have just sold my LHD 2.4T, none matching engine etc for £18K, your coupe looks miles better... Mind you all the interest was from Europe.

I've just got the info from the owner - the car is sold.

I'm sure I'm not pointing out anything surprising by saying that values of std 911s have dropped significantly over the past 18 months and this is most pronounced in the UK. LHD cars are still selling to buyers on the Continent if you can tie up with a buyer. Amazing to think that LHD cars are selling faster than the equivalent RHD car when advertised in the UK as longs as you advertise on the right forums !
The motoring press people say classic car values are starting to recover generally but for 'vanilla' 911s then I don' see it yet. I think we are still at the bottom of the trough. Might be the case with genuine S and RS models. There are still cars out there selling for very low prices and a lot of cars in dealers that have been advertised for 12 months at higher prices and not selling.

PS I still value my 914/6 GT replica at £30k because it cost me >2x that to build but that doesn't mean that's what I'd get for it today if I sold it today.
Most valuations are still stuck >18 months ago but sales values certainly aren't. I won't be changing my insurance valuation though !!

UK demand is deffo poor at the moment but lots of overseas interest and not just LHD. Probably more interest in RHD from other RHD countries mainly Australia rather than UK...

And I think the AUD is likely to get stronger against the euro-zone and the USD in the immediate future. Well I only think that because I read it in the FT!
