Hi Guys,

New member here. My name is Rich, I'm an American living in Switzerland. I own three Porsches, all of which are listed in my signature.

My most recent acquisition is my 1971 911T, which I purchased in 2008 out of 24 years storage. It's a two owner car, but the second owner never drove it (so does that count?). I'm friends with both former owners and have the car's history from new.

The other day I had lunch with the original owner and he gave me these two photos of the car, taken in the early 70s. As soon as I saw the photos I knew I had to post them here.

As the Romans used to say: See you 'round the forum!

Cheers,
Rich

Welcome to DDK. Very nice car and reg. no. Those period pics look like they were taken in the UK.

Thanks. Good eye Mike, especially considering the VW has German plates as well. I've asked him in an e-mail where it is and am waiting for a reply, but am positive it's the UK. His wife lived in Wales back then, and later he was transferred to London. The car still has a vintage RAC sticker in the windshield from its stay over there.

Cheers,
Rich

Mike, did you finally go to specsavers then?

Rich, Welcome. Fantastic car... the swiss are sometimes hard work but that all is quickly forgotten when you chase that 911 up a pass.

Love it: many happy returns!

Bert
