Spa 6 Hours 2009

Post by 23e Heure »

It's the Spa 6 Hours again next week (Sept 25, 26, 27), and we'll again be making our annual drive down.

Official site here: http://www.roadbook.be/spasixhours/en/index.html

I've waxed lyrical on the forum many times already about how great this event is:
Think all the great cars and racing you get at Le Mans Classic, but...
Way more accessible
None of the crowds
A track you can walk all the way around (and spectate from anywhere)
Open paddocks and pitlane throughout the weekend
And in the Ardennes: one of the most beautiful settings ever made for a race circuit.

This year we're putting cameras in the Roger Wills Bizzarrini in the 6 Hours race, so will be posting video soon after.
Here's some of my shorts from last year to give you an idea of the weekend vibe:

A few other DDKers are coming too (Tipler and Roadrunner)...
If anyone has a sudden last minute urge to come along, send me a PM, I should have some spare passes.

We may well drive back via the Reims Historic on the Sunday (27th)... http://www.weea-organisation.com/
Anyone else going to that?

Will know at the start of next week , will probably go Hull / Zeebruge as it's closest to me, A pass would be great if you've got one spare .

I've got an email today from the Belgian Oldtimer federation (BFOV) that states that the Spa Six Hours will go on this weekend, so the event will NOT be canceled.
