Leaky screen seal

This lovely scorching summer has caused my BT5 screen to spring leaks at both lower corners.
2 Qs:
1. How does the dash top trim panel come off?
2. Any suggestions for a non-adhesive goo to smear under the edge of the still-supple-not-too-old screen seal? My first thought was a touch of Wellseal?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I had a similar problem on my karmann ghia - one tip is use a sharpened lollipop stick to get behind the window screen rubber then pack it with vaseline, worked for me.

have you got the correct seals in your windows ?

apparently there are diffrent seals for Karman made cars than cars made else where.
we discovered this when the seals on our 356c shrunk back and started leaking. ..because we had the wrong set of seals fitted.

Thanks 8URN, I will probably try your trick whilst finding out more about any differences in the type of replacement seal. Mine is an Reutter bodied car so thanks Helen, for the tip off. And thanks to Mike at PRS for all your advice and info too.

Will post results as and when

All the best
