Estimate seems quite low. Appears to have all the right bits.

It is unclear whether the car is still registered as the donor Porsche 914 - Back in 71 it might have been described as a Porsche 2-axle sports or something like that which you'd get away with but your insurance company / police may not be comfortable with that if you ever had an accident / insurance claim and it got looked into.

This is solvable if it is the case and if it bothered you - technically only with an IVA test - but i've heard of cases where they have changed the V5 description with proof the car was built prior to the introduction of SVA.

Having said all this, I'd like to pick up an old knacked speedster replica that is cheap and correctly registered for my ultimate build (but avoiding SVA/IVA!!) :|

would ideally like to put fuchs on it, I just love them.

That should go reasonably well with a 2.4 webbered engine shouldnt it.

Where should I stop the bidding and be sensible chaps?

:D

I'm sure I've seen similar spec's at 5 figure sums.

I think so - barrie is a member on here - they also make a cracking 904GTS rep which I would have tomorrow if I could afford it.

Have a look at the website - the site itself isn't wonderful but there's a lot of good pictures there

Yes they are great cars, although at 6ft 1in i can't fit into either of my friends M&Ws. Plenty of room in my speedster though :)

I wouldn't think so with Porsche parts under it.
