There's even talk of a 916 being re-built in time!

Hope he doesn't remember where he left its engine..................

I guess our host will have to buy a 914 before then too!

Cheers!

4th June. That I'll be in the rainy season then !

Looking forward to it. Lets try to keep this thread alive so the DDk'ers amongst us know what's going on as it happens. Happy to help out where I can if that helps.
Please, no butterfly farms or ostrich tours. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the trip and the company this year but the activities were about as non car related as could be imagined and rather too genteel. Not too bad if the weather is good, but for our more unpredictable climactic predicament then activities with a bit more substance might be a safer bet. Anyway, once you've ridden one ostrich you've had them all ! The bad on the head helps though Image
High octane pursuits only , it is a car club after all !! Ostrich racing ? Now that would be more fun !

A bit of track time would be good, a quick google shows two tracks in south Wales.
On second thoughts I would only be embarrassed on the track by the likes of Mr Mallagh and just think what Phil could do (bit of an insider joke there sorry)!

I'm sure Phil's entry speed would be excellent !!! Obviously he's a true VW driver - Once you've got the momentum up then don't loose it for anything !
Has he managed to find himself a car yet ? I must admit if I had a good friend who was prepared to lend me his car then why have all the hassel with the greasy bits.

Phil has a young family and a wife who is only working part time in order to be at home to look after said family. Therefore I think financial constraints will limit him to his bike (motorised!) for hobbying passtimes at the moment.
