painted dash?

was wondering if my 66 912 should have a body colour painted dash as one of the corners on the dash i can see red paint as the car is polo red,it looks like the dash and the inside of the doors have been sprayed black.

3 dials,its just you can see red paint in places on the dash.

Only very early 912 & 911's had a body coloured dash.

After this period they painted the whole car and then painted the dash and inner doors black over the body colour.Thats why you can see the red under where the black has rubbed off.
