Wiring loom- fitting a replacement help !

I have a second hand loom which I am going to use to replace the mess in my car ( single core copper wire?!?!)
Anyway, It all looks like it was taken out very carefully , and is in good, clean nick with all of the original bullet tips intact, so all god so far.
The loom I have is in three parts, but I cant work out a logical place for anything to be able to identify what section is what area etc.
Even the heavy duty red wires are randomly spaced all over !
Any body have any tips?
