speedline split rims

Not an early item,but as a few of you have 993 has any body had a set of split rims refurb recently the one on our targa are looking a bit sad but the last time they were done by a local company but have not lasted very well at all

The Speedlines are very hard to refurbish properly, especially if the rim outers have any corrosion on them, they are also very expensive to do as the rim bolts should be replaced (160 at £3 each). I have done my own set and anodised the outer. Please drop me a line if you want more info.

Here is a refurbished Speedline with anodised outer rim:
This shows how the anodising highlights the corrosion that is too deep to polish out. These rims had been on an RS that had been used as a daily driver in London, and were in a very poor state!

These are the 993 targa 17inch split rims only ever fitted to the targa with 5no bolts between each spoke except the one with the valve which has 4no totalling 24no bolts
