Having just aquired a set of used 6.5" Minilites I am seeking opinions on whether or not they're a straight fit on my 911T.
They have been on a T of similar vintage before.
I'm getting conflicting advice - one suggestion (from the seller) is that I need to have longer wheel studs (from a turbo, 70mm long). Another suggestion (from a previous user) is that they fit without changing the studs.
Haven't had time to offer up the wheels to the hubs yet, so any other offers of advice/experience, please?

If they're the aluminium version that uses sleeve nuts, then they'll fit straight on the existing hubs/studs - I think the same applies to the magnesium version too but it's a long time since I fitted any of those to 911 ...

Not sleeve nuts as such but seperate sleeves and nuts were supplied with the wheels.

They will not fit standard studs, that's why I fitted Turbo studs to the Pastel Blue T that Vicki now owns. The rims are 70s vintage, not new Tech Del Minilites.

Ah! Now I understand what might be the difference.
How appropriate that they're the same 'vintage' as the car

Onward and upward...
Need to remove the existing studs and install longer studs.
Do I need access to a press or will a BFHammer do the job

It's much safer and easier to use a press to get the studs in and out. You will probably need a slide hammer to get the rear hub off.
