Newbie from New Jersey

Hello everyone:
I recently discover DDK. I wish I would have found it a long time ago. This is great site. Very addicting.
I've been a sports car lover all my life. Porsches, Alfas and many more.
I don't have a 1973 or earlier car; I have a 1978 SC doing a pretty good impersonation of one. The car has some more work needed. Some of you may have seen it over on Pelican and Early 911 S Registry. I have viewed quite a few of your cars. It's unbelievable all the great Porsches on DDK. This is my first post. I've recognized many names that I know and I'm looking forward to getting to know some new folks who share my passion for these great cars. If I can ever figure out how to post a photo, I'll add one of my car.

welcome to DDK. would love to visit Jersey again sometime although it not the best place for a driving holiday it makes up for it in many other ways
i visited with a group in 2004. here i am shouting at them to hurry up as the tide was coming in. and mine was the Cayenne

Okay, I'm not as dumb as I look. It worked.
Here it is. The paint is off-white with aviator gray on the hood and engine lid. I've added several 911R influences along with other early 911 touches that I love. My all-time favorite Porsche is the 911R. The 911TR, ST, RS, and RSR also get my heart pumping pretty good as well.
It has a stripped interior (still being worked) with repro lightweight seats. And here is one of those old MOMO steering wheels from the steering wheel fetish I've acquired that Andy referred to. I have a 3 liter engine that I hope to be upgrading with higher compression pistons and cams. There is still much work ahead but I'm am REALLY excited about how it's looking. I lay in bed at night dreaming of spring and flying down the road in this thing.
