356 valve spring replacement

Hi All, is it possible to replace the valve springs without removing the whole head?

Yes, but not worth the hassle and risk IMHO.
There are sevral methods..ranging from pushing srting into the cyliner to compressed air..
Its not a big job to get the heads off and check it all properly..

Hi
if you do relace the springs buy proper porsche ones ,not the repop's some sell, the difference is huge..

I was thinking that the other day I got my springs from CSP USA from Will might need to check with him where he gets them so I know..

I got mine from Stoddard. I could not source the thick shim for S90 heads but I have got hold of some now and thought it would be better to put them on but engine is all back together so dont want to rip it apart again.
