I am refering to the the mag VW Ultra...

Question the yellow about town bug pictured with a supertrap exhaust ....

I have one of these on my 912E and I noticed the silver end cap fitted to the exhaust. And the comment it is very nice and quiet...hmmm I have one of these I must be doing some thing wrong . As when I start my car up birds around a 5 mile radius take off... mind the end cap ( in silver ) is in the boot as I don't know how it all goes together any one know....??????

It looks like if I bolt it up it cuts of the exhaust gases??? :?

I have only used them on bikes, but the end cap should be on. You also
add or remove the discs to tune the exhaust before installing the end cap.

but it still looks like you bolt up the end cap and it seams to cut off the exhaust gases. Is this right. ( it like putting your hand over the end and blocking it off) ??? :?

The end cap should be (bolted) on.

The central pipe has lots of holes drilled in it - as you add discs between the end of the exhaust & the end cap it restricts the flow from the end of the pipe & forces the gases out of the radial holes

Remove discs to decrease the exhaust opening and increase back pressure.

This decreases the powerband to give you more low-end torque.

Add discs to increase the exhaust opening and reduce back pressure.

This increases the powerband to give you more top- end.

The fewer the discs, the quieter the system; the more discs, the nosier it becomes.
