My name is Declan. My car's are a 71' 911T that I drive daily and a 72' 914 (1.8)that is currently up on the lift getting a new 1st gear syncro. ring.
I plan on visiting the UK in the future, particularly Islay Scotland( my favorite Laphroaig whisky is made there) and the London area. I like my old Porsche's and plan on getting a 356 one day to add to my little collection. I found this site searching for tech advice ..and there's tons !
thanks! Declan

Welcome Declan, I am like you a fairly new member, and also share a liking for Laphroaig. Could share a dram or two if you visit Scotland.

Welcome, with a name like Declan you could be from across the Irish Sea rather than the Atlantic

Islay is a really beautiful place but I'm more of a Bowmore man myself.
Pics of your cars would be great.

I'd like that! 10 year old is fine unless I wake up on the beaches of Islay , then I want it straight from the cask!

Welcome Declan,
My english (he was half Oirish) teacher at boarding school introduced me to wiskey the first time. It was at the bar next to the Church of St Franciscus, in Assisi of all places. Since that time a good bushmills holds a special place.
I did a bit of a malt wiskey tour this summer- awesome!
Anyhow, this is a porsche forum, so I hope you have many happy returns.
Best regards,
Bert
