Hi all, I received my Precision Matters full flow spin on filter system but cant find a source in th eUK for Mobil 1 1-208 filters. I know that they are 3 1/4-16 thread filters but thats it. Mobil exon say they dont supply to Europe or UK.

Looks like I have to ship some in from USA but not sure who from.

I have been told by Ron at PM that the K&N HP-2008 should work fine.

I have spotted a design problem with the Full Flow system.

If you look at the original Porsche 912 oil pump cover you will notice that the area around the holes that the small studs from the third piece go through is more open than the Precision Matter Full Flow Adapter. This larger area gives you room to remove nuts that have stripped their thread.

The Precision Matters part only has room for a socket.

I purchased a new Cad II set of nuts and bolts for an engine build from USA and typically the last one stripped its thread at 8psi. I am now in the position where I cant remove the Precision Matters part due to the lack of clearance around the nut, to replace the faulty nut. This will lead to an oil leak around that nut.

What a bummer.

can it be machined bigger on a mill?

Even if they were machined out the bottom left hand nut would still be nigh on impossible to get onto because of the design.

Yeh, once I have removed the part Im gunna remove the studs in the third piece and use bolts. Im gunna have to use a fine dremmel bit to cut the busted nut off. Hope it works.
