DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

OK, OK, yes, it's taken a while to come to fruition.
The saga of my hot rod has dragged on a while but things are picking up speed now.
However.... in the mean time I've changed my mind on the specification a fair bit and I've even changed the colour.

So... I thought it wise to start a fresh thread (correctly titled) and get you up to date.

Fair enough - there are only about 10 colours in my spectrum and none of them have names

I went for Turkis Blue after some deliberation because I saw a great targa at Classic Le Mans and was very taken with the shade.
The owner was French (and didn't speak English) and my French is poor these days but he was very helpful and managed to explain that it was a genuine Porsche colour and let me note the paint code from his door jamb.

Classic Cal look Beetle colour of the 90's. Always was cool and still is.

I don't know of any other early Porsche's on the road in the UK in that colour.
It should be exclusive if nothing else.
Mind you, there will be another. Whilst I was considering the colour I was helped by Ralph Whitehead (a DDK'er).
He's got a 'Turkis' car underway. However his makes mine look like a rush job. Its restoration has taken 11 years so far. Ralph has quite rightly spent time concentrating on family and such like so I may yet beat him onto the highways. Here's his, it's a great colour...
