Is it a done thing in Porsche circles to stick early panels on a late car?

Similarly with late Beetles, I guess alot of us have bolted up pre 67 sloping wings, deck lids and lights for that early feel, probably still doing it!

Seems to be the other way around with Porsches, mainly 911/12s, has anyone made their fat bumpered 911 look like an early 911?

Got no plans to do this, yet, maybe, dunno, just interested to see peoples opinions on this.

I think Autofarm do a conversion to SC's and 3.2 Carreras to give them the full-on RS2.7 look... for a modest £30k
