Hi to all from another Porsche addict

Just thought I ought to get around to saying hi to you all.
Hands up I do not currently own an early Porsche but at some point in the near future I am sure it will happen again.
So a little about myself and apologies if I waffle on a bit.
My whole addiction started when back in 1991 I drove a good mates 89 3.2 carrera sport coupe. Always considered them to be overgrown VW Beetles. (they where suffereing from the yuppy car image quite badly back then).
It was the first car that I had ever driven that felt alive. I new I had to have one and a few months later I bought my first an 88 3.2 carrera sport coupe. guards red, black leather with red piping. Beautiful.
This same mate who has a lot to answer for was given tickets by Mike Pickup of Pickup Motorsport so that he would go to Brands Hatch and photograph Mike's cars that where competeing back then in the pirelli porsche production championship. I went along and guess what sold the 88 3.2 to buy a 3.2 carrera super sport race car and off I went racing. Used to use it quite a bit on the road (awful paddle clutch) and drove it too and from the races including Zandvoort in Holland, with the missus. Stopped driving it too and from the races when I broke the gearbox testing at Oulton Park and waited 4 hours for the RAC. Trailered from now on.
Progreesed from the 3.2 to a 964 carrera 2 and eventually a 3.2 carrera narrow bodied chassis with a 410bhp turbo lump weighing 1100kg. Raced other 911's as well, 996 supercup and GT3RS when the opportunity has arisen.
Road cars, 2.7RS replica based on a 2.4E, white with blue, lovely car, 993 tip carrera 2 coupe, 964 3.6 turbo and currently own the two pictured below. The Carrera 2S is a tip as the missus only has a automatic license and technically it is her car.
Thanks for having the patience to read this, once again a big hello to you all.

Welcome Graeme :) A nice early 911 would make a garage partner to your other car :)

thanks guys and girls. At the moment a pre 73 is out of the question as I can only fit one 911 in the garage and that has to be reserved for the best air cooled 911 turbo ever built, the 993 GT2 1998 evo. It is everything that we all love about the old school 911 but will keep pace with the modern day Carrera GT. Absolutely awesome piece of kit.
