Hello,
I'm John Fletcher and I've been messing with 356's for 25 years (too long).
I've restored two C's and a B in the past and it's been a love/hate relationship really. I'm on with an A at present which Ive imported from the USA, which I hope to keep.
I've restored several other sorts of cars, Alfas, Saabs and Lancia all from the mid-sixties. In the three years I've restored two Citroen DS's - I've still got one which is my daily transport.
My A is turning out to be a bigger project than what I first envisaged. Take my advice never buy a US car without going to look at it. They dont speak the same language.

seems to me from reading this forum, most projects turn out to be bigger and take longer than expected but that seems to be half the fun.........dosn't it?

Hi and welcome er I sort of agree with you on the US front having had a number of cars from there over the years Most of my US mates understand the level at which we have to get our cars to be before they can go on the road but some are well duct tape sound about right?

I have bought a number like you from photo's it's a worry I must admit the last 912 I had was ment to be rust free, and restored 14 years ago and stored for 10 ... it was a bad resto and I have undone most of it..

but it's fun I guess

I am also deep into a 356 Resto with bits of metal all on the floor

Post up some pic's in the 356 resto post we would love to see them
