DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

My Speedster has recently been repainted and I have just taken delivery of a new set of s/s side trims from Stoddard Porsche in Ohio. The quality is great but I have a problem with the clips.
I had expected the plastic snap in type of clip but those supplied are metal.
How on earth do these connect with the bodywork and leave the trim flush.
Any fixing holes that may have existed before have been filled prior to painting so I am stuck.
Anybody out there got the answer?

Incidentally, if anyone has any idea what the two small holes are in the last picture, I'd like to hear from you!

Ive just done these on an early cabriolet,I think clips fit in the trim then pop in the bodywork holes,but what I do is get rid of the clips and use T clips with a thread on,they slide into the alu trims on the wings and the door one you need to pop out the alu plug on the end and slide them on,makes a much better job.

Thanks for the comments re the trim. The metal type of clip which I have seems to be the stock issue, hence the 'larger' holes in the bodywork in the coupe [in primer].
Am attaching a link to the pic of the trim set and a rear end of the car sans trim.
I think some experimenting with the exact size of hole is needed or resort to the plastic 't' type if all else fails.

I have now decided to use the VW t1 plastic clips as they seem to be a better bet in f/glass. The stock metal type would be better in tin.
I therefore have a set of Stoddard metasl clips if anyone is interested.
