I'd probably get lynched if I did this in 2008 ...

I was looking through a box of old 35mm photos & came across a selection of pictures of a RHD 356 that I broke for spares in ~ 1990 ...

It was a T6 356B which, superficially, didn't look too bad from a few feet away but closer inspection revealed that someone had laboriously covered the entire body with a thin skim of filler.

It was far more cost-effective for me to break the car for spares & the list of the people who came knocking at my door for parts read like a 'who's who' of the (then) 356 world ... including:

Bob Garretson
Tony Standen
Trevor Messet
Barry Curtis

& DDK member Barrie Martin !

Apologies for the poor quality but I don't have a scanner here so I've had to take digital pictures of the original photos.

Yes, the enterprising previous owner grafted on a pair of MkII Mini rear lamps (turned through 90 degrees) - they fitted surprisingly well too !!

Bye bye Kermit.

Looked a rough one. Well, at least it kept others on the road :)

Mini ?
Colour also looks very BL, reminds of my mates first car, a mini. It was a dustbin and we thought ourselves very funny to peel off the green SULO bin sticker and place it on his back window when he wasn't looking.

I think the same would apply to this 356.
