I think ( well I am just trying to open the debate as to why turn out is low) it's

A Cost
B Too close to Classic Le Mans

I personaly would like to do next year. I hope then to have the new engine in and a few other goodies..just for this year there is alot going on.....

Also there is the DDK trip to Wales with a track day attached to that as well..

so pockets will need to be deep this year with all that lot..

also I think it's great about the two clubs working togeather even if it is the Pink Cuddles

Any normal year I'd be signed up, but this year is too close to Classic Lemans & I can't afford the time or the money for the trackday :(

Mark.. I'm pretty sure the Anglesey trackday was a non starter

Ditto, I doubt I'll do the Silverstone Classic at all this year with Le Mans.

love the idea of this BUT, for me it comes down to the cost.

i just can't afford to pay for a complete track day when i know i'll be the slowest there. I know i will probley only do about 4-5 laps in the whole day.due to me and the car being knackeered. add to that i won't what to get in other peoples/cars way.

like Bootsy i'll be missing out on silverstone classic this year.

Here here,

I think, as Classic Le mans is only every other year, that the "other year" or non CLM year I'd be doing Goodwood and Silverstone.

Time cost (and lack of a car) all apply!

Also i will not be coming to the main Silverstone event also this year as too many other things on.. Plus I have Goodwood Revival to look for forward to and dressing up ( period clothes ) and track side Picknic with Jo and Luke..

I think the take up next year will be back to where it needs to be.. and I look forward to that.. As Silverstone was indeed a great venue to host the classic event and also the track day the next day.

Thats a shame you cant make it,we will try and keep it alive.
It will deff be opened to later cars now,as the club can not afford to take a loss on it.
I will see you all at classic lemans no doubt,do you have a couple of ddk lemans stickers for the race car.

Due to the extremely poor turnout i would be surprised if this event was still on next year. Let's face it - PCGB are not going to offer a Pre 74 track day when numbers of pre 74 cars are less than half required - and well down from last year.
I for one shall certainly be there. Lots of people clamoured for this pre 74 track day a couple of years ago - now that they have it it is a real shame that that it is not well subscribed.
I understand closeness to CLM etc but it is the only pre 74 track day in the year.................

Reality check in progress.

I'm pleased to see I'm not the only one who can't come to terms with paying
£300 for a single track day.

If somebody gives me some blurb I'll send out a mass email the entire DDK registered database - many people probably haven't heard about it. Happy to help promote it for the PCGB, get somebody to send me the official blurb and it's done.
