Most likely it was scrapped, especially considering the state it was in when he had finished with it!

Dunno about the 356 but his series 2 E-type DHC is with a trader in Belgium: marreyt Classics.

A DVLA vehicle enquiry shows the number plate still belongs to a blue Porsche, but with no activity after January 1987 when the licence was last due. Could be in a barn somwhere waiting to be dicovered...

It's odd that the DVLA enquiry shows his car to be registered in '58 but was actually a '55.

Could it be thats when it was imported?
I know DVLA used to run a system where the car was registered from the year of import regardless of the actual year of manufacture.

His car was originally left on German plates as he did virtually all his
mileage in Europe. He had it registered in the UK in 58 .I was told AFN organised it . My speedster is also a 55 but went to Lebannon until coming to the UK in 58 where AFN registered it UYY 55 ! probably done the same week in the same batch!!!!
