My 2.7RS Rep (formerly known as 'cyclops')

Well, not posted pictures of her since she came to live with me after Mick's careful ownership (Tim "roadrunner" Scott before this) - couldn't go to Headingham on Sunday 'cos of work - and took advantage of the morning sunshine to clean her and get the camera out. Of course, I took the 'looooong' way to the petrol station for a fill up
For those who don't remember her, she's a 1972 E, converted to RS rep in the late 1980's by Gantspeed - at some time around then she acquired a genuine 911/83 2.7RS motor (which goes like hot snot!
)
She came to me as white over blue - but I missed my first 'real' RS (SPD 745L from memory) which was a LHD first 500 in white with green. Since then the crappy fibreglass front wings have been replaced with factory steel ones, the ducktail replaced with a genuine (later steel framed) one, new lightweight carpets, new door panels, electric windows replaced with manual wind, replica Scheel (SP) seats and a Prototipo from Andy (what a great wheel). Oh and a repaint
Quite a few people have asked "if you've got a real one, why have a rep?". The honest answer is 'cos I can mess with it
The aim is to make her as close to an M471 as possible. She's got SC brakes and the engine kicks out 225bhp - sadly the block has a crack so a new (genuine 911/83 663xxxxx numbered) engine has been bought and will be used while the old one is repaired - and maybe treated to the twin plug treatment by Dr. Bainbridge
Remaining things to do: move the tacho round so the redline's at 12 o'clock, fit the clear rear glass (thanks MRG3.6
), fit a replica roll cage (any news Barrie???) and harnesses.
Would welcome any comments or suggestions? Here's some pics:
