After 1.5 years, the car is finished and now reluctantly for sale.

A matching numbers right hand drive 2.4E targa (vin: 9113210729, engine: 6231435) with considerable history and provenance having been originally owned by the baby sham girl. The car was laid up between 1988 and 2006 when it underwent a comprehensive restoration by Alan.UK.

The car has been restored to original specs with the following exceptions which are easily changed.

- Colour changed from Roman Purple to Gemini Blue (I still have the purple paint should the new owner wish to change the colour. The floor pans weren’t re-sprayed so it could be made original with ease)
- Interior changed to black from tan
- New replica recarro sports seats trimmed in black leather to match the door cards (I’ve only made 10 trips using these seats)
- Wheels left polished (allows new owner to detail as desired)
- Steering wheel changed to 350mm Momo Prototipo
- Stereo inserted in glove box with rear speakers in a head-rest like enclosure on the parcel shelf (to keep out of London’s undesirable’s view).
- Breaks up-rated to 3.0 sc
- Adjustible Koni shocks up front and Bilsteins in the rear
- Ride height lowered to 23.5” front and 24” rear (from memory)
- 1969 chrome grill, gold lettering on boot lid and chrome horn grills

The engine has just had a top-end re-build carried out by Chris Turner and is running fantastically. In addition I had a new clutch and oil tank fitted at the same time. The customary parts were changed during the re-build including rings, cam chains etc. The CDS unit has been reconditioned as has the MFI pump and new injectors all-round. The heads were re-guided and skimmed by 0.5mm. I have just about finished running in the engine and it still has 11,000 miles or 11 months warranty left.

There are many photos from the restoration work and considerable history to the car that can be provided to any serious purchaser and I welcome any mechanical inspection. There may well be better vehicles out there and as mentioned above, the car is not 100% original but I feel it is in very good condition and offers the new owner hassle free motoring.

I am asking £35,995 for my pride and joy and am happy to answer any questions you may have either on 07905516159, via pm or email eswales@gmail.com. Photos of the car can be seen at: http://photobucket.com/porsched

Many thanks, Ed

This car used to belong to another DDKer when it was Roman Purple with tan interior, colours I loved.
