Hi I have been working with old cars for longer than I would care to think about, and am very fond of german ones , but have not submitted anything on this site before although I have looked at it many times in the past and have even popped along to Cobham on a wednesday a few times. To get to the point I have an awful old abused incomplete and very early 930 Turbo I am putting back together for someone and am looking for a gearbox crossmember although the gearbox itself is an '85 one, can anyone help me out ,there are a bunch of other parts I need but this bit is urgent now , Thanks Bill.

Hi
thanks for the suggestion regarding the Turbo , I didn't realize there was such a forum I just assumed there were not that many impact bumper cars on ddk ,well not that many still with their original looks intact , after spending hours trawling around yesterday I found the part I needed after a few more phone calls , when I took this old dear on I didn't appreciate how many parts were specific to a turbo, quite interesting really. I noticed a thread about how many pre A models there were on the road and nobody mentioned my old '53 1500 which is now owned and much loved by Geoff Gray and alive and well in Essex and still running its original two peice case motor. Best regards Bill.

Hi Cubist
I don't have any pictures onthe 'puter to send but will see if Geoff the 53's owner has some ,I am sure he does as he is very proud of it as I was when I owned it , pre A's are very cool but all 356's are great .
yours Bill.
