Oil overfill

I've managed to overfill the oil on my 911t by about a litre (long story involving the hand brake warning light which suddenly started working)

I ran it for about 5 miles home like that but is it safe to drive or will I risk damanging it unless I drain the excess?
Thanks
Tricky

Hi there
I did exactly the same thing ! - but decided not to risk it - so drained off the excess oil. I couldn't get the Oil Tank drain plug open so drained the oil from the sump.
My hand-brake warning light has now given up working all together !

Doubt it would do any damage. But I know people who have removed excess oil with a kitchen baster thingy, or any pump with a rubber hose inserted into the oil tank.

thanks guys, and pleased to know i'm not alone in seeing an orange light appear on the dash and deciding (not unreasonably i thought) the solution is lots of oil!!
Cheers
