Wheels, seats and other mods - suggestions please?

OK, so I've managed to stop myself selling my 356C and getting something else as I regularly do, so its time to start turning the old girl from something a bit girly into something a bit more hardcore!
The bodywork is generally good, but will get a repaint and sort out some minor issues when I've completed the rest of the work and shes now working perfectly thanks to the rebuilt motor, recon carbs and electronic ignition.
So first off she will get a lowering job, just a couple of inches, but at the same time I want to lose the standard wheels, so I'm looking for suggestions other than fuchs? And tyre size on a lowered car, 185/65?
Secondly the interior has been beautifully trimmed in beige leather, but under hard cornering I keep sliding off the seat! I want to get a pair of period sports seats trimmed to match, so again I'm looking for suggestions other than Speedster buckets, as I'd prefer them to be adjustable.
I'm aiming for the weekend racer look, so any other suggestions gladly received, I'd love to go daft and put a cage in etc, but I have to leave room for the kids!

Gt style bumper trim (I happen to have a pair and fixings in my garage!)

American Racing Mags - rare in 5 stud fitment but oh so funky.

Weekend racers just took off bumpers and hubcaps? I like the look of the Kronprinz wheels just as is. I have the hubcaps on the wall in my study..

These recaros are 70's I think. They do a great job of holding my bum in place, and will take a baby seat or booster (I only have seatbelts in the front), but the downside is that they hardly fold forward at all, so getting in the back is a squeeze, even for kids..

yup! I agree keep the steels (painted are better) smart car tyres and you never take the kids so a cage has to go in sports or sebring 'zorst

Seats that hold you in place don't tend to lend themselves to tilting forward due to the bits that hold you in! unless the whole thing tilts forward.

period paint job like the one PR Services has at the moment

and vavava vooooomm!

cool as....

It looks great just as it is. Leave it alone. The interior looks lovely. Take the bumpers off maybe.
Otherwise buy a bitza to play with - maybe the one that was at the volks show is just what you need.

Wouldn't 7" wheels make a 356 handle like a big fat pig, though?

take off the bumpers and sell them to me.

If you do slam das tub do it right. Get a chopped hoop from PR Services and stiffer mounts. Try fitting a s90 compensator to take some of the strain from the torsion bars. Get alloy GT seats covered in corrrect cord etc, Plexi glass all round, factory roll bar, alloy panels, alloy period style wheels, engine mods through the roof like a high lift cam, straight cut gears, bigger valves in the heads, set of webers, oh and how about some of the elevenparts alloy rocker covers with fins and a mainly alloy sump, csp pulley, gt alloy mirror, oh the list goes on.

Would the 7"s fit? they wouldn't be too wide?
