hi, im ben from leicester, im a bit of an intruder as i drive a 964 which is probably too new to be allowed on here, but at least its not a kettle
i've been messing with air cooled cars for years, and currently spend 1/2 my spare time fiddling with a mates karmann ghia and beetle.. i'd love to own a '73 or earlier 911 some day, but for the time being only have space for one car.. One day I will build a nice big garage that will house two!..
i do a lot of maintanence on my own car and you guys seem much more hands on (which is a good thing) than other forums i've used.. i was sent here by a link to a "cavity wax how to" and have been snooping around since, so thought id register..

i've just changed jobs and its so damn slow compared to what im used to, so taking an hour out here and there every day for "personal development"
I am getting to do plenty of travelling at the moment though which makes up for it.. got 3 days in germany next week (hanau, frankfurt and koln) I'll travel light so I have some baggage allowance for the way back; let me know if you need any bits smuggling

if you find some in the area im going to, or get them sent to our dealer in germany, i can arrange to collect them and bring back.. Im usually over there about once a month
as for the car, here's a few from a couple of weeks ago.. Not much changed since, although replaced a few body seals and fitted brake cooling ducts.. harnesses and a couple of other goodies going in hopefully before the end of the month ready for trip to spa on 25th, plus possibly repainting the wheels (as they are a bit scabby) colour to be decided; its currently a two horse race between guards red and gloss black
