Thanks Mike, Any ideas how it secures? Is it a press fit with some sealant, is the end of the cam sealed in the cam tower from the bearing oil pressure. I've taken the sporto pump off and there is some oil behind it.

the plug is just a push fit in with a hammer, like a coreplug on a mini or a ford engine, I would put a drop of sealant round it and hammer in , clean the cam box first and remove the 2 drive pins from the end if the cam, as you will find the plug will not fit with them in .
