Hi,
My name is Fabian.
I'm 22 studying Mechanical (Automotive) Engineering at Uni of Bath.
I currently drive a '73 914 2.0, which i purchased in September last year. I have had to do A LOT of work on it but it is coming on nicely. Still to do includes couple of rust patches (not in the usual places!), paint and a new set of heat exchangers... if only i could find some...
Pics have been posted over in the 914 forum... i hope!
I'll add a couple here for good measure...

A LOT of work!!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys and gals.
I found the car in Ashford as it happens. I'm not sure how long the previous owner had it before that.
I venture back to Battle on the odd weekend, uni exams taking priority at the moment though!
Look forward to getting involved as a proper member (going to shows nd all that jazz) and hope to get my dad in on the act with his 914.
As for the engine, it took about 10 days on and off to get everything stripped sanded painted and rebuilt. Just got a few FI gremlins to iron out, think it's something electrical...
My dad has just returned from Germany with two more 2L (GB code) motors to rebuild. Should be fun.
I may put up a thread on my engine rebuild when i get a bit more time. For now, back to vehicle dynamics revision...

Looking good.
I'm not unfamiliar with some of Battle's fine publics houses
