Muffler skirt '72/'73 911

Has anyone come across a supplier of this piece of trim? Or do they come up for sale often?

Hi,
i was looking myself for a muffler skirt approx three years ago and couldn't find one. As a result a friend and i made up some muffler skirts from an original. They are slightly thicker gauge stainless steel as the originals used to dent/mark easily.
If you are interested let me know. Price is not cheap - GBP 275 - due to the cost of the equipment used to make it. I believe we have three sets left at the moment.

Do you have a good photo of your skirt fitted to a car and one with the complete kit laid out before fitting?

Light-bulb moment!
I was using one of the original quarter bumpers from my car on another project yesterday, and noticed some well-spaced, factory looking holes at the base. Didn't think much of it until now. Looks as though mine would have had a set in an earlier life.
If it ever goes back to Leaf Green, I'll have to put a set back on
.

Have also been on the lookout for one of these for quite some time now ever since I saw this picture over on Pelican (now stored in my favourites) showing one fitted to another Albert Blue 2.2
Stuart, do you have any pics (closer than the one above) of it on your car? I am very interested in one of your spares

James, those were available other years too.
They came in a SWB version and a LWB type. The corner sections are a different length.

Yeah, you do need to drill into the bumper to fit these.

Here's an original one I've got salted away.
Only trouble is.... I don't have the third component.
It's tricky finding originals of these but probably impossible to find someone with just part of one.
I've seen complete skirts go for about £400, one went on German eBay for nearly 700 Euros.
