Different reg on the pics posted here, different front indicators, perhaps slight different shade of blue? does look similar though

I spoke to Russell at Maxted-page today ( I've recently bought an RS from them - fantastic people to deal with !) the car is .......................................... £115,000 ...................and has the reg' No .........................."58 A" ...........................how cool is that ?!

I have to say the prices do seam to be top end but they have the cars and the way to make them sound even better. They also sell well, Not seen any cars that aren't good there. Does make for an interesting web site to look at.. I know Gavin did alot of it..
The guy who is with Andy is on here every now and then, I saw his 911 being painted over at Terrys place a while back.
The place it's self the work shop is very good and well set up to do all this work. Made me re look at my own workshop.. so I built it bigger now, will get my nice bench sorted out for it next week.. and posters on the wall..

This is Tim Chandlers car. The restoration has taken something like 6 years to complete by all the top specialists. I'll be suprised if he's seeing his money back for what's been invested.
Not meaning to sound like a complete bobble hatter, but Aqua Marine blue is a dark flat colour. Phillip Taysom's cab is Aqua Marine Metallic blue which is very different (one of my faves).

your prob right I mean the costs will always be much higher than the selling price unless you get the car for free and do all the work your self but still if you say your labour is £10 hr it's still not going to cover it
it sure looks a nice car..

I've just remembered, the wheels and tyres on this car came from me. They were the best set of unrestored original chrome wheels and happened to be date matched for 1958. I fitted a set of Avon CRZZ's and had been running them on an Oval bug.
I've often wondered if I should get a registered charity number for spannering on old VW's and Porsches

This car is the Tim Chandler car but was sold in the summer.
I don't know who owns it now.
PR Services restored it for Tim, Sportwagen did the body and paint, Barry Curtis built the engine.
Is there a better combination than that??
I think Tim's bill was in the region of around 60K >70K (NOT including the number plate or buying the car in first place)
Still it goes to show that some cars are worth restoring.
