Need to replace the battery on my 912E. The one currently fitted is GSF own brand 45ah, 278mm x 175 x 175.
Can anyone recommend a decent quality replacement?
Thanks.

alright Boz?
is the old one knackered or just not very good?
My mate has some real good ones for sale. Not entirely sure what make / spec but they are heavy duty jobbies, the ones with the two handles to carry them and they are cheap like the budgie. (so cheap im not even sure there are any left but can check for you)
I guess thats not really all that good to you being in Liverpool and me in Leicester. Can arrange something if you or anyone is passing by.

Bosch, same spec as a 911, for some reason they still need a battery with some guts to turn it over even tho they are four pots. GSF do the Bosch ones.

Thanks for the offer mate, but need one soon-ish and a bit of a trek down your way just for a battery. Hope your lovely 12 is still giving you plenty of smiles!

Phoned my local GSF and they said they no longer stock Bosch... wtf?? Anyway, looking at maybe a Varta in 66ah. Dimensions have to be as above to fit batt tray.

Boz, Varta batteries are about the best you can buy.
Rick started an informative thread over on 912bbs...

Thanks mate... useful link. Think I'll be going for the 66ah. Just slightly concerned re any extra weight over a 45ah batt.
Also, anyone heard of Numax batteries?
