Is there such a thing as a 1971 2.4S? Thought they were only '72/73 unless a few very early ones made it out by late 71.

Would they have been available from September 1971 onwards as MY72 cars? or would it have been later in 71? I have a 73 model car registered in Nov 72.

It's the "been left unused outside since 1975" comment that gets me. That was an expensive car in those days to discard when only 3 years old

So what exactly does the €12,000 get you? A €50,000 restoration bill (and then some)?

 shocking.. Now to be honest your better off getting the car for free to have any chance of making it to a compleated car..

Interesting use of the Hiab esp when I heard the crack, where's his banks man with the rope to keep it in control!! and the pressure on the side of the car should help make it a interesting job for Barry to get straight on his jig!!

Hi,

I would budget alot more that 50K euro for that car, I would think even more than £50k. I also like the way the car is picked up and the motor is hanging on the gear box mounts!

yeah your right I noticed that, I was thinking any second now the engine will be on the floor. Then the car will tip forward onto it's nose..

Oh well some muppet will buy it..

That looks like it went down with the Lusitania.

Jeez what a wreck. There are people talking of how its worth the asking price in parts. I can't see it personally. I wonder what sort of condition that 190 bhp engine is in after having sat for 30 odd years?

The wreck is on sale at ebay Germany now:

http://cgi.ebay.de/PORSCHE-911-2-4-S-co ... dZViewItem

I like this sentence of the description very much:

if the winner has not seen the car in reality before the end of the auction, i will show him only after it`s fully paied.

By pure magic it has already reached the 12.000€. Ebay is a wonderful thing especially since they hide the bidder identity.
