I have found some really cheap ferry crossings for Classic LeMans. Is anyone else ready to book their crossings yet?

Didn't want to post this in the general area as would prefer if these tickets didn't all get booked up

I know you lot went with P&O I think LD lines have always been cheaper I use them a fair bit my self as you know it's only down the road for me and winter crossing and a car can be as low as £15

I use Norfolk line a lot. Also good for lowered vehicles as they allow you to park your car on the lorry deck.

Dover-Dunkerque.

thats the one ;)

Thursday sailing then back on Monday , £38

If others are going to be on that ferry I'll book too.

I'm happy with a morning sailing on the Thursday as I'll either camp the night beofre or stay in a B&B, then it gives us all afternoon to get down to LeMans .... or we could get a Wednesday evening ferry & sleep over in France?

Anyone got any ideas?

Would like to book it soonish :)

I'm up for a Thursday morning sailing and a stop over that night. We could fit in a scenic detour that way

Will, it will be better to arrive at Lemans on Thursday afternoon as even in 2006 Maison Blanche was filling up bt then. 2008 will be busier & if we don't turn up until Friday we won't be able to get a decent camping area.

A Wednesday evening ferry with a local stopover near to dunkirk might be better so we can have steady run down to Lemans on Thursday day , or an early morning Thursday ferry would give us the same opportunity

I am happy either option. We would need to ensure we could get somewhere to stay french side with enough room for large numbers (!?) and safeish parking. Personally, I don't fancy camping overnight in France as it'll be a shag packing up in the morning. Why not early Thursday AM ferr....what's the earliest?

Personally I'll be looking to overnight wed/thurs, for a leisurely stroll down to the circuit late lunch / early afternoon thurs.

Don't know when the campsite is likely to start letting people in?

Another factor is to get handle on who's chateaux'ing, and who's camping and also whether we're looking to do another large group drive going down, or a number of sub-groups.

I'll find out the available times. I'm happy to cruise down through France on the Thursday the scenic way.

Based on last year, the big cruise did get broken up quite a bit & there was a lot of waiting around for people to catch up. I'm happy to cruise down in smallish groups & meet up at LeMans. We could always arrange to meet up like last time some where en route, although even then we all got seperated near LeMans

I think a lot of people won't know their plans yet.

For me I'd rather book a £38 return ferry now and make plans alongside some others who want to do the same, rather than waiting until later & having to spend over £200 like last time
