Please tell me this site hasnt stooped so low to allow pop up adverts? When I signed in tonight first the usuall rs911 add was replaced with an add for a pocker site and then one for ringtones which is fair enough I can ignore them but while writing a post I had 3 popups for various undesirable sites and this was the only internet page I had open ??????

Or is there other forces at work on my PC?

Ok definatly my computer, I got 888.com as soon as I opened my computer this morning, must say they were very convincing some how they were mimicking the sponsers at the top of ddk page, identical size and position so it looked like they were actually on this site. Never seen that before !!!

So no one else getting angalina video offerings?

What about strange girls mooning you from the top of you DDK screen?

The strange thing is this is happening in every open DDK forum expet the members only forum which only has the normal adds. Surly this must be some sort of hijack of the sponser system? If it was my computer doing it why wouldnt it also do it in the members forum?

Hi Steve, no adds on mine, only the ones that should be, I allways have my pop up blocker switched on and get an audible alert when pop up are attempting to display on my PC.

Hi

I allow pop up's on DDK just in case something like this happens, then it can be dealt with.

I have nothing on my computer.

The popus have now ceased since I ran my virus scan but still the dodgy adds. Must just be something on my comp. Ill see if there are any updates to my anti virus software.

Thanks Steve

Maybe delete your cache in case they are hiding in there?

Are you using Explorer? It's in the 'History' bit somewhere, I don't use Explorer at home so can't guide you any closer, sorry!

If you use Firefox it's in preferences under security :)

I didnt think so just confusing how they mimic the site sponsers quite clever really but very annoying!

My virus software isnt picking anything up probably need an anti-spyware programe or something.

Now all sorted thanks to ad-ware 2007 freebie, only had 528 nasties lurking not been picked up by the virus software.
