I know this isn't 'classic' porsche related, but I thought someone might be able to help. At his stage its just a thought, but ...

I'm running brand new genuine Porsche Cups 7x17 et55 on my cabrio. I am thinking about colour coding the centres to match the body & have the outer rim polished. Can anyone recommend someone who can do a 'show quality' job for sensible money ?

I asked Nick (about a month ago) if he was able to polish a set of Boxster rims, he replied he only deals with the Forged rims (basically Fuchs). Whether this is still true, I guess you'll need to ask him.
I then went to Biagio, nice guy helped my outta a hole & got the whole face of the wheel (rim & centre) polished for £60 a go. He's currently got my 16" Cup 1s & has quoted to polish (again the whole face of the wheel) for £50 (less 'surface' apparently!)
Biagio also does polished/detailed on Fuchs & Gas Burners which is kinda what your after. Give him a ring, I'll text his number to you.

For those that know of my car, do you think this new look will suit the car?

I have reservations about the standard silver look due to the high gloss finish of the black paint work & all the chrome trim etc... Th esilver looks 'dull'

From what I have seen of your car I would deffo go the black centre, polished rim route.

You summed it up really, the grey finish will look slightly odd with chrome and against the shiny black paint.

Introducing what is almost another colour often looks strange IMHO and although I love those wheels, they don't quite work on bugs when left factory finish.

I loved the understated look of the wheels on Brian's Sqaure at Volksworld.

the cab won't be making an apearance for a while. I'm getting the important things on the car done 1st, you know, nice looking wheels for it to sit on in the garage, the running gear etc can come later

I can't even remeber which box my throttle bodies are in its been that long since I looked at them

I have already got brand new 'silver' centre caps with colour logo (plastic). Need to look at detailing these in black or buying some already in black with the colour logo.
