I am not in the market to buy one, but, I like fastbacks as well. A friend of mine has also just bought a type 3 razor edge, another car I think is very, very cool. Oh if I had the space 8)

Good luck with the sale

SOLD :)

Twiddling my thumbs now, waiting for my savings to reach a point where I can get a 912 ....nearly bought a 914, but have decided to go through the 'cash-burning-a-hole' syndrome and wait til I get get something I havnt owned before... :)

..oh, and i'm out looking at Boxsters :( with my partner...she is still set on one and can now afford a face-lift 2.7, so I suppose this is a small mercy :drunken:

I'm still lurking in here, but not owning anything of interest means im destined to 'listen-in' only...

Fastbacks are the best! They generally seem to be pretty unloved by the VW community. I own the oldest one in the world...

I always liked fastbacks ever since there was one in the mental images section of street machine magazine years ago, dropped, smoothed and hotrodded...looked cool :) .

There are loads that are older than 65?

Fastbacks were available from August 1965 (mines an August '65). Notchbacks were available from April '61 and Squarebacks (Variants) from '62.
