Greetings,
Just signed up here - this looks like a fun site, and a good way to keep tabs on what's up outside the States.
I live outside of Los Angeles, Ca. I've been involved with Porsches, and road racing, etc for a very, very long time.
Please feel free to PM me with any questions regarding cars, etc, stateside...I'm always happy to help out.
I look forward to chatting...
Cheers
Thom

Hi Thom, welcome aboard. I'm planning to come out to LA this year and would like to coincide it with some Porsche meet - any ideas?

The German Autofest is a MUST DO...
It's held every September at Ventura, Ca. This year's date is Sept 8-9
Read about it here:
http://www.germanautofest.com/
It's a great event, at a great time of year. I do a booth there each year representing PML, which is a market letter for Porsche.
More on all this later - I'm being called away.
Cheers

No...It ain't you, sir. Nor Cal is correct, and so is the wine. If I could afford it...I would be calling Carmel (Monterey Peninsula at the very least) my home.
So Cal is a vicious place...if it wasn't for all the car culture, and people associated with it, I wouldn't be anywhere close. As it is, the high desert is not all bad a place to call home, and have ready access to all the neat stuff that happens there...
Cheers

Cor blimey Riley!
It's such a shock to one's sensibilities to be exposed to such phraseology from the New World I feel I must retire to the winter garden for a G&T and a brief nap.
Hello Thom - welcome.
Carl
PS
I get the North and South thing, but what is 'the high desert'? Are there low and medium deserts too? We don't get exposed to many deserts in Cheshire

I will come South some day, I am planning to come back to Nor Cal in about a year. To catch up with a few of the guys over there.
I have bought lots of cars from LA area I have been told that Compton is what shall we say and interesting area for home made movies

funny thing is that's where I ship the cars out of..
I am pulling your legg, I do want to come and look South as I know there is alot of car stuff to see and I would be interested in poping over the boarder some time..
