Snapper Malcolm Griffiths (regular contrib to GT Purely Porsche, Classic & Sports Car etc) wanted to try out some studio techniques earlier this week - fortunately for me it was my car in there so now I have some nice arty shots for the history file!

Very nice, see it was worth all the effort to get the carpets sorted!

Certainly glad I had finished the fronts before it went into the studio - I doubt if flaking paint would have been quite so photogenic! Reckon I'll finish the back sections today too. It's starting to look quite civilised in there!

Thanks - only problem is that for the interior to look as good as it does there, I will have to only drive the car at night...

Great effect, very original. I guess he ran around the car holding three lights on a long exposure? Any details?

Got it in one Gary - big spot on a wheeled stand whizzed around the car over something like 8 seconds.

No hurrry Darren - I've not stuck the carpets down in the front so I can just pop the boards in at a later stage.

i've been reading your column with interest in classic and sports car. its fun to hear your experiences with the 912.
to quote you 'the first few weeks of being a 912 owner have been truly wonderful. i have never owned a car that has attracted so much attention, sounded so good or dirven so well...' completely sum up my experience too! :P

yup, pretty much sums up my experience too. think the SWB seems to make the car prettier cos i don't seem to get the same reaction to the 911
