Hello All,

I've been quietly lurking to get a feel of the forum and have finally registered.

I'm looking for a RHD 912 in as sound a condition bodily and mechanically as I can afford within my budget (which won't stretch to an early 911 unfortunately). It will be cherished as a second car. I've fancied one for years but other things have got in the way, girlfriends, mortgages etc. Now in a position to make it a priority to spend my savings on something other than a kitchen or bathroom!!

My friends think that I'm having an early mid-life crisis by looking for a 912 as my daily drive is a very sensible but very dull Volvo diesel. I don't care what they think!!! I'd put pictures up of the Volvo but it really isn't interesting

Cheers

James

Welcome James, dont worry what others think - I got rid of a 2year old BMW 3 Series coupe so that I could have a 911 as a daily driver - yours at least is going to be a second car!
Good luck with your search

Hi Helen,

That is my dilemma. Do I wait for a sound RHD 912 with a known history or go for a RHD project and the work that entails, knowing it could be a money pit?

Hmmm. Decisions decisions.

there are good RHD 912 out there.... I know i owned one, for a while.

its just a case of being in the right place at the right time to get them. revival cars (advert banner at top of page)seems to get them in every now and again.

if you could face LHD then our very own Mr "KS" is selling his 912 he has told us all about the pros, cons and money his spet on it in his articals in 911 & porsche world magazine.

Hello & welcome :)

Helen's right, If it's your first I certainly wouldnt discount a well sorted LHD, it won't limit your search as much and in my opinion they're really very easy to get used to.

good luck with the search, hope you enjoy the forum and dont hesitate to ask any questions there's plenty of knowledgable folk here
